About

I am an aspiring filmmaker with a love and passion for visual arts. Evident by my extensive and somewhat embarrassing YouTube channel, I have had a camera in my hands since I was very young, eager to capture the beauty that I see in the settings that surround me. Being born and raised in London but of Indian origin, I feel incredibly lucky as I feel that it allows me to see the nuances in the interactions between the people around me and be able to express these in the form of film. All of this has led me to pursue a degree in film and television production at NYU Tisch made easier by the fact that I am a UK/US dual citizen.

Films

Father (2023)

'Father' is a short horror film that was perhaps my biggest project as of yet. It was shot at an abandoned brownstone in the Upper West Side of NYC. It took 2 days to shoot, both of which were 10+ hours.

Whispers in the Dark (2023)

'Whispers in the Dark' is a one shot horror film that I shot as a precursor to my full horror debut with 'Father'. I was tasked with creating a one shot film for one of my classes and thought horror would be the perfect genre despite the fact that I, personally, do not enjoy watching horror films.

Day in Day out (2023)

'Day in Day out' (no sound) is a short film about the mundanity and repetitiveness of life at times. I created this film as I have definitely felt this feeling in the past and wanted to articulate it using film. One way, if not the only way, that life becomes interesting is through interaction with others or 'love'.

Buddies (2023)

'Buddies' (no sound) is another film about the magic within new relationships and the feeling around forming a new bond when previously lonely. It is a very simple film yet I think that the simplicity of it is what is touching about the film.

No Right to Love You (2021)

'No Right to Love You' is a music video that I created when I was 17 years old. When I chose this song, I had this feeling that the film had to be shot in slow motion in order to convey what I wanted to. It was shot entirely on iPhone.

Bad Taste (2021)

'Bad Taste' was created for a college application in which there was no dialogue allowed and the film had to be a maximum of 2 minutes, depicting a decision being made. I thought that this situation was a funny one and one that I related to, having been an extremely picky eater growing up.
